Job description

To strengthen our kitchen team, we are looking for a passionate Chef de Partie who knows how to get down to business.

You will be the chef's right-hand man, where you can further initiate yourself into the refined brasserie and gourmet cuisine.

With a passionate team of professionals who are passionate about their craft, everything is made according to the rules of the coast. This will take your level to an unseen level!

  • You prepare (partial) dishes according to culinary techniques
  • You organise for your own department, in consultation with your team - good cooperation is key
  • You control the working methods and quality for your department within the kitchen
Profile

A chef de partie wants to excel in his/her area of expertise together with the team.

  • You contain professionalism, expertise and communication skills and want to further fine-tune these.
  • You are a team player.
  • Quality is your top priority.
Job-related Competences
  • Preparing meat and fish (cleaning, cutting, tying, wrapping, ...)
  • Preparing dishes: Regional specialities
  • Supervise the preparation and production of dishes
    Checking that food safety rules are applied
  • Training employees in professional techniques
  • Maintain and clean the workstation and kitchen utensils
  • Developing menus
    Creating or adapting recipes (composition, new flavours, etc.)
  • Cooking or heating meat, fish, vegetables, ...
  • Washing and cleaning fruit and vegetables
  • Preparing the dishes to serve (presentation, composition, finishing, etc.)
  • Receiving and checking the goods
    Storing the goods in a cold room or pantry
  • Monitoring inventory, identifying shortages
    Placing orders
  • Preparing the worktop and utensils
    Turning on appliances (ovens, hobs, etc.)
  • Packaging and labelling preparations and products (manufacturing and best-before dates)
    Storing them in the cold room, pantry, ...
  • Dosing and mixing the ingredients
  • Coordinate the activities of a team
